let's be honest
For years, I've heard people tell me: "I can't even imagine." In the beginning, that was nice to hear - it was validation that my pain was unimaginable. But, there came a point in time where I really wanted to feel understood... see an example of someone who struggled and bounced back; find a place where I could talk about the funny moments during the hardship; share a story about the person or the thing I miss so much. I want to talk about the little happy moments that got me through the struggle. But, it "makes people feel uncomfortable". After all, it's not bar talk. It's also not work talk. Or dinner talk.

"It's depressing."
It's my life.

I may not always be proud of where I am, but I'm proud of where I've come from. And I want to talk about it. We deserve to talk about it.

So, this is a space where you, anonymously, get to tell people (who want to hear) about what you survived; what you endured; what you've done to get here.
